Nivalis Nights Plants: Buying, Decor and Growing
For decorative plants, go to a home furniture retailer in Eastern Residential, Hive Mall or Central Canyon. These districts are listed in the official October 1 patch notes.
Players identify Eastern Residential’s retailer next to the butcher and report inspecting the displayed plant to buy it. Check Plant or Decoration item tags and your active objective. Greenhouse produce is a separate supply system.

Where to buy decorative plants
| Reported or official location | What supports it | What to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Eastern Residential | Official Patch 01.10 notes; Steam CoffiCat reply and Reddit confirmations. | Home furniture retailer. Players place it beside the butcher, with one describing it to the butcher’s left. |
| Hive Mall | Official Patch 01.10 notes. | Home furniture retailer; no exact stall coordinates verified here. |
| Central Canyon | Official Patch 01.10 notes. | Home furniture retailer; no exact stall coordinates verified here. |
Buy a plant for the decoration objective
Go to a home furniture retailer
Use one of the three officially listed districts. Eastern Residential has the clearest reviewed player landmark: the retailer next to the butcher.
Inspect a displayed plant
Reddit commenter Halffoldedlaundry reports purchasing by hovering over the plant rather than talking to a vendor. Look for the purchase interaction actually shown in your version; no platform-wide button binding is asserted.
Check the item’s tag
Steam commenter Juniper Seed explains that Plant and Decoration are item labels. A shop sign or the visual style of an object is not the same as its item tag.
Buy and place it for the active objective
Compare the active Ramen Noir requirement and its progress after placing the item in the venue. The sources do not establish exact prices, required quantities for every stage or a universal placement-control sequence.
Plant or decoration task still not progressing?
| Problem | Source-backed check | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Cannot find a plant in the first furniture shop | Try a home furniture retailer in an officially listed district. | Not every furniture shop is established as having the same stock. |
| Cannot find a vendor purchase option | Inspect the displayed plant itself, as the Reddit reply describes. | No fixed keyboard/controller input is verified. |
| Lamp does not count | Playfool reported buying lamps that did not satisfy the request. Check Plant or Decoration tags and the exact objective. | Appearance or “art deco” style does not establish the required tag. |
| Quest text is unclear | Patch 01.10 added more objective detail for decorations and plants. Compare your installed version and current log. | The patch note is not a guarantee that every save or item will advance. |
| Bought a plant but the task remains | Check the item type, venue placement and objective change before buying more. | No confirmed universal repair or bug diagnosis follows from this symptom. |
Can you use a plant you already own?
Steam commenters Juniper Seed and MalachiConstant report moving an apartment plant into the venue; MalachiConstant also mentions the dog picture as decor. That is a reported alternative to buying new items, not a promise that every plant or decoration satisfies every objective.
If trying this option, compare the object’s tags and your quest progress after placement. A Reddit comment also mentions a plant found in Docks garbage, but one sample does not establish a fixed spawn or repeatable free-item route. No fixed price or free-stock cycle is claimed.
Decorative plants versus greenhouse produce
A decorative plant is for furnishing or a decor objective. Greenhouse produce serves a different task: the publisher FAQ says greenhouses let you grow and harvest produce for restaurants or market sales, with settings for growing conditions. Buying a potted plant does not establish that you have obtained a crop module or a recipe ingredient.
ProRogueBear’s supplied-by-capture English captions around 26:14–29:04 describe greenhouse rental, crop modules and planting onions. That is a creator-reported example: the tutorial dialogue describes different modules for crops, and the player checks a suitable module before planting. The key frames could not be independently verified because the browser player failed, so no complete unlock route, rental cost, growth timer or harvest yield is asserted.
Game Launch Central’s captions around 04:40 describe growing ingredients but explicitly say that “hydroponics” was not clear in the text being discussed. That terminology is not adopted as a confirmed separate mechanic. For a production goal, check the actual greenhouse module, seed and condition prompts in your game instead of buying shop decor.
Choose decor or restaurant supply
For furnishing context, read apartment decoration. For ingredient planning, use the ingredient reference or fishing guide. For game-file changes, use the mods page.
Source dates and limits
Sources reviewed October 2, 2026. Official descriptions and patch notes establish only the features they describe; third-party accounts remain reported. Gameplay has not been independently tested for this page. Source review is separate from a hands-on verification date.
Steam’s Decorations excerpt contains replies 1–12 of 12; displayed September 29/30 times lack an explicit timezone. Reddit displays relative times; it includes both questions and successful Eastern Residential reports. No exact minimap coordinate, complete inventory, price list, greenhouse unlock chain, crop timer or yield was independently tested.
